2 lbs (900 g) russet potatoes, cut into strips

3 tablespoons vegetable oil

1 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Fries

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C).

  2. Cut potatoes into 1/2-inch strips and toss with oil, salt, and garlic powder.

  3. Spread evenly on a parchment-lined baking sheet, avoiding overcrowding.

  4. Bake for 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden and crispy.

Step 2: Cook the Beef

  1. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat.

  2. Add ground beef and break apart with a wooden spoon. Cook 6-8 minutes until browned.

  3. Add onions and cook 3 minutes until translucent. Stir in garlic and cook 30 seconds until fragrant.
