Smashburger Quesadillas are the perfect fusion of juicy burgers and cheesy quesadillas. Crispy tortillas, melted cheese, and seasoned beef make this easy recipe a family favorite!
Ingredients
1 lb ground beef
1 tsp salt (adjust to taste)
½ tsp black pepper
1 tsp garlic powder
4 large flour tortillas
1 cup shredded cheddar or American cheese
1 tbsp oil or butter (for toasting)
Optional toppings:
Diced pickles
Chopped onions
Jalapeños
Burger sauce (for dipping)

Cook the Beef:
Heat a skillet over medium heat, add oil, and season ground beef with salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Cook until browned, breaking apart with a spatula. Drain excess grease. -
Assemble the Quesadillas:
Lay tortillas flat. On one half, spread cooked beef and sprinkle cheese (about ¼ cup each). Add optional toppings if desired. Fold each tortilla in half. -
Toast the Quesadillas:
Heat butter or oil in a skillet over medium heat. Place folded tortillas in the pan and cook 3–4 minutes per side, pressing lightly, until golden and crispy. -
Slice & Serve:
Transfer quesadillas to a cutting board, rest for 1 minute, then slice into wedges. Serve warm with burger sauce, salsa, or guacamole.
Notes
Use a mix of cheddar and pepper jack for extra flavor.
Add caramelized onions or sautéed bell peppers for depth.
